What is RRB Officer Scale I?
Officer Scale I is the entry officer cadre in Regional Rural Banks. IBPS conducts the common process, while participating RRBs report vacancies and make appointments. Work may include rural and semi-urban branch operations, deposits, customer service, credit and financial-inclusion activity, subject to the allotted RRB's assignments.

Negative marking
Each wrong objective answer attracts a penalty of one-fourth, or 0.25, of the marks assigned to that question. Unanswered questions have no penalty.
Syllabus and preparation scope
The tested areas are reasoning, quantitative aptitude, computer knowledge, general awareness and either English or Hindi. Build preparation around arithmetic and data interpretation, analytical reasoning and puzzles, rural/banking/current awareness, practical computer fundamentals and the chosen language. The authority does not publish a universal micro-topic list for every section.
Pay, role and progression
The appointed RRB controls the pay scale, allowances, probation, posting and transfers, so the common notice does not support one in-hand figure. Officer Scale I is a regional banking officer role with branch and credit exposure. Promotions depend on the RRB's service rules, vacancies and assessment; no fixed promotion timeline is promised.
