Negative marking
A wrong objective answer attracts a penalty of one-fourth, or 0.25, of the marks assigned to that question. Unanswered questions have no penalty.
Syllabus and preparation scope
The official structure names English, numerical/quantitative aptitude, reasoning, and general/financial awareness. Prepare comprehension and usage, arithmetic and data interpretation, analytical reasoning and puzzles, banking/financial awareness and current affairs. Detailed micro-topics are preparation guidance, not a separately issued official syllabus.
Pay, role and career context
IBPS makes provisional allotments; the participating bank issues the appointment and governs pay, probation, posting, transfer and promotion. For that reason the CRP notice does not support a single universal in-hand figure. CSA work is branch- and customer-facing, with career progression governed by the appointed bank's service rules and internal processes.
