Age Limit
20 to 28 years as on 1 August 2026. Major relaxations: SC/ST 5 years, OBC (non-creamy layer) 3 years, PwBD 10 years, plus notified ex-servicemen and widowed/divorced women concessions.
Salary & Pay Scale
Pay and allowances follow the award/settlement and service rules of the participating bank that appoints the candidate. IBPS does not state one universal CSA in-hand salary.
Educational Qualification
Graduation in any discipline with a valid mark sheet/degree by the notified cutoff, operating and working knowledge of computer systems, and the State/UT local-language requirement.
Selection Process
Online Preliminary Examination, Online Main Examination, then Local Language Proficiency Test before joining. There is no interview. Preliminary marks do not count in final merit.
Exam Pattern Summary
Preliminary: 100 questions, 100 marks, 60 minutes. Main: 160 questions, 200 marks, 125 minutes. Sections have separate timings. Wrong objective answers attract one-fourth or 0.25 of the assigned marks.
Application Fee
₹175 including GST for SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/DESM candidates; ₹850 including GST for all other candidates.

IBPS CSA XVI: Exam Status & Schedule Update — 15 October 2026
Editorial update (15 October 2026): The Online Preliminary Examination calendar dates were 10 and 11 October 2026 for 11,663 indicative vacancies. The official portal has made available a question/objection reporting window. Reporting dates: 13–15 October 2026. Eligible candidates should check the official portal for current availability. The Main Examination is tentatively scheduled for 27 December 2026 per the IBPS calendar (issued 16 January 2026).
