हर section का अपना timer है। English का बचा समय Quant या Reasoning में नहीं जा सकता। Objective question गलत होने पर उस question के assigned marks का one-fourth deduct होता है।
इसलिए Prelims सिर्फ concepts का test नहीं है; question selection भी equally important है। अगर एक puzzle या arithmetic question बहुत समय ले रहा है, तो वह सिर्फ एक mark नहीं, आगे के आसान questions का time भी खा सकता है।

Mains सिर्फ लंबा Prelims नहीं है। 190 questions लेकिन 200 marks का मतलब है कि हर section का mark-weight समान नहीं है। Reasoning & Computer Aptitude के 50 questions 60 marks के हैं, जबकि GA में बहुत से independent questions होते हैं जिनमें set बनाने का time नहीं लगता।
Current structure में sectional qualifying marks नहीं
Notification के अनुसार minimum aggregate SBI decide करता है और individual subject का अलग minimum qualifying mark prescribed नहीं है। इसका मतलब section छोड़ना नहीं है; किसी एक section में बहुत कम score aggregate को नुकसान पहुंचा सकता है।
Practice कैसे बदलनी चाहिए
Prelims में exact 20-minute sectional practice करें। Mains में 35/35/45/45 minute structure के अंदर practice करें। Attempts के साथ accuracy note करें, क्योंकि negative marking में blind guessing नुकसान कर सकती है.
