RRB Clerk

RRB Office Assistant Previous-Year Cutoff Analysis

Complete State-wise RRB Office Assistant comparison: current 2026 vacancies plus five completed cycles (2021–2025) of State vacancies, reported Prelims category cutoffs and minimum Mains/final provisional-allotment cutoffs. Missing historical categories are kept blank instead of being guessed, and Mains minimum cutoffs are separated from the higher “maximum score” tables often circulated online.

RRB Clerk has no single national cutoff

Office Assistant vacancies and allotment are State/RRB-linked. So the useful comparison is State + vacancy + category cutoff + year, not one national number.

This master table covers every State/UT in the current Office Assistant vacancy set and the five latest completed cycles, 2021–2025.

Read the numbers correctly

  • Vacancies are the published/revised Office Assistant State totals available for that cycle.

  • Prelims cutoffs are out of 80. A dash means that category/State value was not reliably reported in the historical table; it does not mean zero and it is not assumed equal to UR.

  • Mains values below are minimum normalized scores out of 100 used for provisional-allotment cutoff comparison. Several websites also publish a different table called “maximum scores”; those higher numbers are not the minimum selection threshold and are deliberately not mixed here.

  • Vacancy is an important cutoff driver, but not the only one. Candidate pool, paper difficulty, normalization, category distribution and RRB preferences also move cutoffs.

  • There is no 2026 Prelims or Mains cutoff yet. Any such number before the exam/result is only an estimate.

Tripura is currently shown as NR in the 2026 vacancy table, so its blank is not treated as zero. Current vacancy figures remain indicative until IBPS closes/revises the vacancy annexure.

Five-year State-wise vacancy + cutoff master

Each State table gives the vacancy total for that year, the reported category-wise Prelims cutoff and the minimum Mains/final cutoff out of 100.

What the vacancy-vs-cutoff history actually tells you

The data shows why “last year cutoff” should never be your target. A large vacancy increase can reduce competitive pressure, but the relationship is not mechanical. Rajasthan is a good example: its 2025 vacancy pool expanded sharply while the Prelims UR cutoff fell, yet other States do not move in exactly the same way because candidate volume and difficulty differ.

Use your own State first. Compare at least three to five cycles, note whether vacancies were unusually high/low, and then build a preparation margin above historical screening levels. For Mains, compare the minimum normalized provisional-allotment cutoff, not the raw 200-mark score and not the published maximum score.

Historical-data cautions

2025 vacancy data uses the later 8,034 table rather than older 8,022 snapshots. 2024 uses the updated 7,022 table. 2023 uses the final 20 June revision of 5,564 rather than the intermediate 5,650 figure. 2022 uses the revised 4,567 figure rather than the initial 4,483.

The 2021 legacy vacancy reproduction has a known reconciliation problem: IBPS-related sources report a headline 6,794 Office Assistant vacancies, while the reproduced State “Total” rows sum to 6,804 because that old table also carried horizontal-reservation/EXS columns. We preserve the State figures as historically reported and flag the mismatch instead of silently changing a State number.

Treat this as a comparison tool, not as a promise of the next cutoff.
