Official three-stage process

| Phase II | Two-paper online examination: descriptive English Paper I and General or stream-specific Paper II. |
| Interview | For candidates shortlisted from Phase II. The 2025 notice assigns 15% final-selection weightage to interview. |
Final merit
The 2025 Grade A notice assigns 85% weightage to Phase II and 15% to interview, with specified relevant-experience treatment for certain streams. Read the current notice for your stream and any later amendment.
