Graduation
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent is required. The result must be declared by the closing date, 21 September 2026. Working knowledge of computers is desirable.
Age
The general age band is 18–28 years as on 1 September 2026; notified DOB range is 2 September 1998 to 1 September 2008. Standard category relaxations apply as notified.
Local language
The participating RRB’s prescribed local language is an essential qualification. Studying that language in Standard VIII or above in a recognised school/board, or holding an equivalent certificate, is treated as proficiency. Where this is not met at selection, the notification framework allows time after joining to acquire proficiency, subject to RRB/probation rules.
Do not copy SBI Clerk LLPT rules into RRB recruitment.
State/RRB choice
Check vacancy, local language, place of service and the participating RRB together. A lower historical cutoff alone is not a good reason to choose another State.
