Marking and merit
For each wrong answer in the objective tests, one fourth of the marks assigned to that question is deducted under the current notification.
No penalty is stated for an unanswered question.
Prelims is a screening stage. The current notification states that final merit uses Main Examination and Interview scores in an 80:20 weightage after the notified qualifying requirements.
